When you first become an Avon Representative, there is an incentive to help you get quick money and find as many customers as you can. The Avon incentive is: you will receive 50% of everything you sell (cosmetics, lotions, etc. - watches and shoes you receive 20% of what you sell) on your first few campaigns. This is half! So, if you sell $300 on your first campaign, you will be able to keep $150 of that money in your pocket.
Avon has a commission scale that you will receive when you sign up. It is a chart of percentages that tell you, based on the amount of products you sell, how much of a percentage you will receive. The more you sell, the higher your percentage in commissions.

When you choose to become a leader (not required) in Avon, you will begin to receive checks in the mail from a percentage of each of your downline's sales. To receive these checks, you must have five qualified Avon Representatives that you have recruited into your team and they must sell a certain amount of products. To be a leader, you must also have at least $250 each campaign in your own sales (after all, how can you be a leader if you don't know how to teach people to sell!).
Q. How does Avon work?
Avon is mainly a cosmetics company. The products are sold in many different ways, the main way is through their sales force. People from many different countries, no matter what their background, sell Avon to the general public (their friends and their family and coworkers). To sign up, generally men and women find an Avon leadership representative, fill out a form, and start selling.
Q. How much does it cost to start?
The initial sign up fee is $20. It is against the rules for any representative to waive that fee. The $20 pays for shipping and for the kit you will receive in the mail. It is well worth the twenty dollars!

Q. How do I make money with Avon?
To make money selling Avon products, simply find customers who are interested in the products. They browse your catalog, put in an order, and pay you for the products upon delivery. The Avon Representative keeps a percentage of the sale and sends Avon the balance.
Q. Do I have to buy inventory if I sign up to sell Avon?
No. There is no need to buy inventory when selling Avon products. An Avon Representative hands out catalogs every two weeks, this is considered their Avon Store. The customer shops the catalog and makes an order through the Avon Representative. The representative then turns in the customer's order and receives the product. There is absolutely no rule that an Avon Representative must purchase products.
Q. What is the total cost to sell Avon per month?
After the sign up fee ($20), the only cost incurred by an Avon Representative is the purchase of their catalogs (unless the rep chooses to purchase samples or other business tools). Catalogs are sold in lots of 10 at the price of $5.75 (about .58 cents each). The price lowers as larger catalog purchases are made. It is safe to say, if an Avon Representative purchases only catalogs, the cost of selling Avon per month is $11.50.

Q. How much money will I make selling Avon?
How much you make is purely based upon how hard you work. If you choose to sell only to friends and family, your profit may be enough to buy products for yourself each campaign. If you choose to expand your horizons and sell to co-workers, and actively look for customers in your neighborhood, at the mall, in the bank, or wherever you go, your profits will rise exponentially. You will also find that there are people just like you, who want to make an extra income and possibly work from home full time. When you begin signing these people up to sell Avon and you become an Avon leader, your profits will rise even higher.
Q. When can I place an order?
A new Avon Representative can place an order almost immediately. Within 24 hours of submitting a signed contract, a link to the Avon ordering web site will be sent via email along with a welcome and more information (such as login name and password). Materials and catalogs will arrive within a week when signing up online.
Q. When is the first order due?
Depending on the new Representative’s RPS (indicated in your welcome email), the first order will be due in the campaign after they are appointed.
Q. What if I miss my first due date?
If you do not have an order at all the first order, you will miss the 50% profit incentive, therefore it is best to have an order ready and turn it in on time. If you do not have an order at all, you will not incur fees. However, if you do have an order and simply missed the due date, but you still need the products delivered, you will incur late fees (this is because Avon has to do a special delivery outside their normal schedule).

Q. How does Avon payment work?
The best part of Avon's payment plan is that you do not need money up front to order products. First you sign up, you then receive catalogs for your first two campaigns (first month). Second, you take catalogs to all your friends and family and write down their orders on paper. Next, you wait until your due date (or the day before) and turn in everyone's order at the same time and submit it to Avon online. You do not pay for the order yet. Third, you receive the order, sort it out, and deliver it to your customers while collecting their money. Fourth, you keep your percentage of the sales in your pocket, and you send Avon their portion along with the sales tax portion before the next order due date.
To become a unit leader as an Avon Representative, you must recruit five active sales representatives, sell $250 worth of product, and your team must sell $1,200 of product per campaign. These numbers are evaluated every campaign (every two weeks).

Avon Mark is a line of products made by Avon. There are several different ways to sell Avon Mark. As an Avon Representative, Mark products can be sold via the Avon catalog and/or the Mark magalog, as well as online. As an Avon Mark representative, products may only be sold online or through the Mark magalog. Avon Mark representatives may sell from only from the Mark magalog, whereas Avon Representatives may sell from Avon catalogs, Mark magalogs, and other fliers Avon provides (such as budget catalogs and closeouts).
Q. How old do you have to be to become an Avon Mark representative?
You must be at least 16 years of age and have your parents signature on the Avon contract. At 18 years of age, you no longer need parental consent.
Q. How do you sign up to sell Avon Mark?
Signing up to sell Avon Mark is exactly the same as signing up to sell regular Avon products. Find an Avon leadership representative, or simply click the "Become an Avon Representative" link from this page.
Q. What is the difference between selling Avon Mark and Avon?
There are many differences in the way Avon Mark works and how Avon works. To sell Avon Mark, you must have a valid credit card to purchase products and magalogs online (you can get a credit card and add money to it by simply going to your nearest convenience store and getting a pre-paid Visa card). Avon Mark representatives receive a set percentage of the money from the products they sell, where Avon Representative's percentages change based off the amount they sell each campaign. Avon Mark representatives may put in orders sporadically, where Avon Representatives must order on their specified order day.
